Yes, even though I was a girl, I was a cowboy. I had a gun that didn't use caps but strips of newspaper and the bang was louder. I also had a fringed shirt and cowboy hat and my father's cut down jeans. He made me a leather holster. This was in an era when "girls" weren't allowed to wear trousers anywhere! and were supposed to play with dolls in prams yuk!! I was a real tomboy!
